Job description

Job Title: Construction Site Quality Specialist

Seeking Construction Site Quality Specialists with OSHA 30 certifications. Prior experience with heavy civil, electrical, or quality assurance/quality control is preferred. Solar industry experience is a plus. Candidates should be able to read and understand construction drawings. The role involves significant walking. Preference is given to local candidates in Virginia/North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

1. Open gates for contractor access.
2. Participate in daily plan of the day (POD) meetings.
3. Observe and report on daily contractor activities.
4. Support vegetation management activities, including manipulating and restoring solar modules.
5. Secure the site at day's end.
6. Be the first in and last out daily, emphasizing safety.

Location & Travel:

Reporting location is Thomas F. Farrell building in Richmond. Candidates will be assigned to solar projects across the state, primarily in Louisa County and Greensville County, VA. Onsite presence is mandatory. Flexibility for local or non-local candidates with per diem options is considered.

Certifications:

OSHA 30 Certification or higher required.

Top 3 Skills:

1. 5+ years of hands-on experience with civil construction projects, especially in utility or solar sectors.
2. Experience as a Construction Quality Specialist or in QA/QC roles on construction sites.
3. Ability to read and understand IFC construction drawings.
