Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a General Laborer 1 in Sioux Falls to support skilled trades on new construction, renovations and other projects. You will load/unload materials, assist with site cleanup, and help with dewatering and tool maintenance while following OSHA standards.

This role emphasizes reliability, safety, and teamwork on fast-paced sites. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and up to 2 years of related construction experience; apprenticeship training is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years commercial construction experience (Preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; related apprenticeships valued.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered for candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assists other skilled trades by loading, unloading, and distributing materials as assigned.
• Assists in dismantling and transporting construction materials.
• Collects and disposes of accumulated trash on and around the jobsite daily.
• Performs general cleaning and trash removal for the jobsite trailer.
• Cleans and maintains concrete and forming tools.
• Operates pumps and equipment for site dewatering needs.
• Organizes and cleans conex containers and gang boxes daily.
• Responsible for construction gate duty and flagging responsibilities.
• Responsible for PPE compliance and following OSHA standards.
• Adheres to JE Dunn safety standards.
