Job summary

McGough Construction in Fargo, ND is seeking an Enterprise Application Implementation Manager to serve as the primary on-site IT resource for large project jobsites. You will manage desktop, network, and application support across multiple locations with a strong customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project leadership, deploying endpoint management strategies, and supporting Microsoft 365 services and project-related applications.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in desktop administration, technical support, systems support, or a related IT role.
• Strong Windows desktop administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience troubleshooting complex business application issues.
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, VLANs, routing.
• Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless network connectivity.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Experience supporting Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise endpoint management and software deployment technologies.
• Experience supporting printers, network peripherals, and end-user technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT point of contact for one to two large project jobsites, with on-site presence at multiple locations.
• Develop strong working relationships with project leadership, field personnel, administrative staff, and other jobsite users.
• Maintain a regular onsite presence and proactively identify technology issues that could affect project operations.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, plotters, peripherals, applications, network connectivity, conference rooms, and other jobsite technology.
• Take ownership of technology issues from initial diagnosis through resolution, coordinating with other IT resources or vendors when necessary.
• Assist with technology planning and deployment as jobsites are established, expanded, relocated, and closed.
• Maintain jobsite technology inventory and assist with equipment deployment, replacement, recovery, and lifecycle management.
• Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows laptops, iOS and Android mobile devices, and related peripherals.
• Support device provisioning, configuration, security, patching, and application deployment using enterprise endpoint management tools.
• Troubleshoot operating system, driver, hardware, peripheral, and device performance issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Troubleshoot user authentication, permissions, device registration, and access issues involving Microsoft Entra ID and other enterprise systems.
• Support endpoint security technologies and assist with remediating device compliance and security issues.
• Maintain standardized device configurations and assist with hardware refresh and lifecycle initiatives.
• Troubleshoot enterprise, departmental, and project-specific applications.
• Diagnose application issues involving installation, configuration, authentication, permissions, performance, integrations, updates, and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications and other business productivity platforms.
• Support construction and project-related applications used by field and project teams.
• Work with application owners, vendors, and internal IT teams to identify root causes and resolve complex application issues.
• Assist users with application configuration and provide guidance on the effective use of supported technology.
• Document recurring application issues, resolutions, workarounds, and escalation procedures.
• Identify patterns in support requests and recommend improvements that reduce recurring incidents.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting for wired, wireless, and internet connectivity issues at assigned jobsites.
• Diagnose network issues using common tools and techniques, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Assist with resolving wireless coverage, performance, interference, and connectivity issues throughout jobsite facilities.
• Perform initial troubleshooting of network switches, wireless access points, firewalls, internet circuits, and other network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot connectivity among endpoint devices, printers, applications, cloud services, and other network resources.
• Determine whether technical issues originate from the endpoint, application, local network, internet connection, or enterprise infrastructure.
• Coordinate with network engineers, ISPs, and vendors to resolve issues requiring escalation.
• Assist with network equipment installations and replacements, cabling coordination, and jobsite infrastructure changes.
• Support conference rooms, project meeting spaces, huddle rooms, and other collaboration environments.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Teams meetings, conference room systems, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and presentation equipment.
• Routinely test meeting spaces to ensure technology is operational and ready for use.
• Assist with technology setup and support for major project meetings, presentations, and other important jobsite events.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printers, multifunction devices, scanners, plotters, and other specialized jobsite equipment.
• Troubleshoot printing issues involving drivers, print queues, network connectivity, permissions, and device configuration.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with equipment vendors when necessary.
• Support other technology specific to construction and project environments, as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of jobsite technology configurations, network information, equipment, applications, and support procedures.
• Develop knowledge articles and troubleshooting documentation for recurring technical issues.
• Document escalations and resolutions to improve knowledge sharing across the IT organization.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend opportunities for standardization, automation, and process improvement.
• Provide IT leadership with feedback regarding jobsite technology needs, risks, recurring issues, and opportunities.
• Participate in broader IT initiatives involving infrastructure, cybersecurity, endpoint management, application deployment, and workplace technology.
• Actively contribute as a member of the Technology team, collaborating to support shared goals and objectives.
• Represent McGough professionally at all events, uphold company standards, and serve as a positive ambassador.
• Attend company meetings and pursue ongoing personal and professional development to enhance skills and performance.
• Collaborate across departments and external stakeholders to support cohesive project execution.
