Job summary

RMS Companies is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent to help manage day-to-day field operations on a single site and to ensure timely, high-quality work. You will oversee subcontractors and laborers, communicate with vendors and inspectors, and assist the Construction Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with construction processes, project lifecycle, and industry standards.
• OSHA or other safety training certifications preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in construction management software and tools preferred.
• Knowledge of standard safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day to day field operations of construction sites and project components.
• Oversee subcontractors and laborers to ensure they are doing the right work, performing at a high quality, and within their scope.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors, subcontractors, inspectors and third parties.
• Support the Construction Superintendent.
• Execute construction work at the site when required.
• Aid in other projects at the direction of the Construction Superintendent.
• Coordinate with Construction Project Managers or Senior Construction Project Managers.
