Job summary

DH Pace Company in Olathe, KS seeks a Department Manager for the construction and building materials industry. You will lead equipment, service and installation technicians, with hands-on management and strong customer interfacing.

Responsibilities include budgeting and P&L control, scheduling, dispatching, troubleshooting, training and hiring technicians, and ensuring high-quality service. The role requires excellent communication, organization, and a mechanical aptitude, with a valid driver's

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
• Minimum two years’ work experience with supervisory or managerial responsibilities in a commercial building products and services company.
• Excellent communicator who is highly organized and possesses mechanical aptitude.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment, service and installation technicians and dispatch.
• Oversee department Budget and P&L, controlling labor and material costs.
• Schedule staff, assist with technical/troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure high quality service.
• Develop, train and hire technicians and administrative personnel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
