Job summary

Superior is hiring a Senior Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager in Fort Wayne, Indiana to support commercial construction projects from start to finish.

The role reports to the Project Manager and requires 1+ year of construction or project operations experience, with a related degree or Construction Management certificate. OSHA certification is a plus, and health and retirement benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction or project operations on a commercial site (internships count).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a bonus.
• Active degree or credential in a construction-related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage creation/submission of RFIs and integrate into project docs.
• Coordinate with vendors on submittal lifecycle.
• Support creation/submission/management of change orders.
• Capture progress by updating contracts and photographing the jobsite.
• Monitor project schedule and update Project Operations leadership.
• Collaborate with Foreman on material/equipment delivery.
• Lead project close-out including docs, warranties, waivers, as-builts.
• Understand project finances with Operations and Finance leaders.

Job description

Position: Senior Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager

Reports to: Project Manager

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana

Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000

We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s and ensure that all RFI’s are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of construction or project operations experience on a commercial construction jobsite (including relevant internship experience); a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
