Salisbury & Moore Construction is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the company’s accounting functions with a strong emphasis on accurate financial records, job costing, reconciliations, and month-end close. This role collaborates with the Controller and Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Construction accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite and Procore preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform key components of the monthly and year-end close process.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenses are accurately recorded to the appropriate project and cost code.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits
• Provide accounting oversight for AP and AR processes.
