• Experience using MS Project or Primavera P6 and strong Excel data analysis skills.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, sequencing, procurement, and field operations.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Excellent communication across field and office environments.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction & Baseline Scheduling: develop baseline schedules aligned with contract requirements.
• Establish scheduling templates and guidelines in MS Project / Primavera P6.
• Review baseline logic and critical path activities for constructability.
• Maintain project schedules, track progress, and forecast completion.
• Develop recovery schedules and mitigation plans with PMs and Superintendents.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Scheduling Manager to provide company-wide scheduling leadership, support, and oversight across active commercial construction projects. Based out of our Deerfield Beach office, this newly created position works closely with Preconstruction, Project Managers, Superintendents, and executive leadership to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules from initial preconstruction through final closeout.

In this role, you will establish consistent scheduling standards across the organization, assist project teams with baseline schedules, weekly updates, and three-week look-ahead planning, and proactively identify schedule risks before they impact field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Preconstruction & Baseline Scheduling
• Partner with Preconstruction, PMs, and Superintendents to develop baseline project schedules aligned with contract requirements, procurement timelines, and execution strategies.
• Establish standardized scheduling templates, coding structures, and guidelines in MS Project / Primavera P6 across project teams.
• Review baseline logic, activity durations, critical path activities, and procurement milestones for constructability.
• Project Scheduling & Forecasting
• Maintain accurate project schedules and support field teams with regular progress tracking and realistic completion forecasting.
• Monitor critical path activities, analyze schedule variances, and proactively identify potential delays.
• Develop recovery schedules and mitigation plans in collaboration with Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Serve as a central scheduling resource and partner to both office personnel and field superintendents.
• Translate complex schedule data into actionable insights for project teams and leadership.
• Provide training, coaching, and best-practice guidance to PMs and field staff to foster a culture of proactive planning.
• Maintain company-wide visibility into overall active project portfolio performance.
• Develop and present executive-level reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding project progress, milestones, and resource constraints.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated construction scheduling experience, preferably with a commercial general contractor.
• Software Skills: Hands‑on proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, along with strong Microsoft Excel data analysis skills.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM), construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and field operations.
• Plan Reading: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of working effectively across both field and office environments.
• Travel: Ability to work on-site in Deerfield Beach with occasional overnight travel to out-of-town job sites as needed.
