Job summary

Henderson Engineers, Inc. seeks a Construction Scheduler II to drive planning, forecasting, and reporting for complex construction projects. You will partner with PMs, engineers, and field teams to maintain schedules and evaluate risks across preconstruction through commissioning.

The role requires 3–5 years in scheduling, proficiency with MS Project and Primavera P6, and strong communication skills. On-site work with travel expectations. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in field relevant to construction or engineering preferred. Years of relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction scheduling.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules using MS Project, Primavera P6, Outbuild, or similar tools.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Henderson Building Solutions core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate and non-routine planning and scheduling for multiple small projects.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers and field leaders to keep schedules current and flag risks.
• Assist with resource planning, schedule optimization, and timeline adjustments.
• Apply scheduling principles to collect, analyze, and validate data.
• Analyze schedule and identify critical path impacts, delays, and trends.
• Report forecasted activities and cash flow analyses with recovery recommendations.
• Generate detailed scheduling reports, forecasts, and progress updates.
• Coordinate with engineering to incorporate design activities into schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, commissioning, and field teams on milestones.
• Communicate schedule impacts of changes and align with leaders.
• Assess impacts of client changes, field conditions, and change orders on schedules.
• Advise teams on schedule‑related risks and recovery strategies.
• Complete scheduling software training and stay current on industry practices.
