Job summary

WSP USA in the Southeast US is seeking a Vice President, Construction Scheduler to lead CPM scheduling across large rail transit programs, leveraging Primavera to drive critical path analysis and schedule integrity. You will develop integrated master schedules, coordinate with designers, contractors and clients, provide forecasts and risk assessments, and deliver timely reports to executives.

This role demands strong leadership, communication, and a track record of complex project controls

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline; or equivalent scheduling experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in developing and managing construction schedules for large programs.
  • Proficiency with CPM analysis and Primavera.
  • Experience with project financial forecasting and change management.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and complex client programs.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert CPM scheduling using Primavera to support large rail transit programs.
  • Develop integrated program schedules from multiple stakeholders.
  • Assess and advise on schedule changes and delays to project team and executives.
  • Coordinate with teams to assess reporting, risk, and forecasts.
  • Develop, update, and analyze execution schedules for simultaneous projects.
  • Establish baseline schedules with durations, logic, resources, and costs.
  • Review CPM updates and produce schedule comparison reports.
  • Perform earned value analyses and change management reviews.
  • Conduct time impact analyses to measure delays and impacts.
  • Recommend schedule recovery options and what-if scenarios.

Job Description

WSP is seeking a Vice President, Construction Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in the Southeast US.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support client's Program including design and construction rail transit projects.
  • Developing integrated program schedules based on input from the various entities including designer, contractor, third party etc.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to resolve schedule, scope changes or delays to the project team and executive management.
  • Coordination with project teams to assess reporting and identify risk and create accurate forecasts.
  • Responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing detailed execution schedules for simultaneous projects
  • Establish baseline schedule: summary and detailed review of baseline durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, resource histograms.
  • Review periodic CPM Updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
  • Perform Earned Value analysis reports, schedule change management and review of change orders.
  • Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule recovery. Recovery schedule reviews and perform what-if scenario analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline or equivalent years of construction scheduling experience.
  • 12 years of experience in developing and managing construction schedules for large programs.
  • Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera.
  • Project financial forecasting skills.
  • Change Order Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, and Forensic Schedule Analysis.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within large and challenging Client Programs with one or more project teams.
  • Effective reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
  • Building Construction and or project management experience
  • Team player and Strong communication skills
