This role plays a critical part in keeping complex commercial and industrial projects on track by integrating manpower, materials, and subcontractor activities into a cohesive master schedule and by providing clear, actionable insights to project teams and leadership.

The Construction Scheduler develops, maintains, and optimizes detailed CPM schedules for both preconstruction and active projects, ensuring that all activities, resources, and risks are accurately reflected. This role plays a critical part in keeping complex commercial and industrial projects on track by integrating manpower, materials, and subcontractor activities into a cohesive master schedule and by providing clear, actionable insights to project teams and leadership.



Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for preconstruction and active construction projects.

  • Integrate manpower loading, material procurement, submittals, prefabrication activities, and subcontractor schedules into master project schedules.

  • Update project schedules based on actual field progress and verify logic, durations, and activity sequencing for accuracy.

  • Perform schedule quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews and schedule health checks to ensure logic integrity and constructability.

  • Track critical milestones and overall project progress against baseline schedules, identifying variances and potential impacts.

  • Develop schedule recovery and mitigation plans when projects experience delays, and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders.

  • Support short‑term planning efforts, including detailed look‑ahead schedules and progress analysis for field teams.

  • Incorporate safety considerations and risk mitigation activities into project schedules to support safe project execution.

  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers and Superintendents to confirm activity sequencing, status updates, and schedule impacts.

  • Participate in planning sessions, pull planning activities, and coordination meetings to align schedules with project goals.

  • Translate complex scheduling data into clear, actionable insights for field teams and leadership, including visual reports and summaries.

  • Support project pursuits by developing conceptual and proposal schedules for new opportunities.

  • Assist estimating and preconstruction teams by identifying schedule risks, opportunities, and constraints early in the project lifecycle.

  • Monitor production tracking and manpower utilization to ensure schedules reflect realistic resource availability and productivity.

  • Coordinate and maintain master schedules for electrical construction and industrial projects, aligning them with overall project management plans.



Essential Skills


  • 3–5 years of construction scheduling experience in commercial or industrial projects, with electrical construction experience preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and its application to construction projects.

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 for developing, updating, and analyzing project schedules.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project for creating and managing project timelines and activities.

  • Understanding of electrical construction sequencing, building systems, and construction documents.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts to accurately reflect scope and sequencing in the schedule.

  • Experience integrating subcontractor schedules and resource/manpower loading into master project schedules.

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate schedule performance, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple schedules, priorities, and stakeholder needs simultaneously.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex scheduling information clearly to project teams and leadership.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with and supporting multiple stakeholders across project teams.



Additional Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience with industrial construction environments and production tracking methodologies.

  • Background in electrical construction, including familiarity with building systems and trade sequencing.

  • Experience creating conceptual and proposal schedules to support estimating and preconstruction efforts.

  • Ability to participate effectively in planning sessions, pull planning, and coordination meetings.

  • Capability to incorporate safety and risk mitigation activities into project schedules as part of overall project planning.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.


Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
