Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. seeks a Safety Manager for multiple projects. Travel and relocation are required; per diem is provided where eligible.

You will ensure Thompson’s safety programs meet OSHA, state and federal standards and drive initiatives to reduce injuries and financial losses. Responsibilities include conducting site audits, investigations, safety training, and developing SOPs. Candidates need 5+ years of field safety experience, OSHA 30, and MSHA/HAZWOPER certifications may

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of field safety experience.
• Must have completed OSHA 30.
• Some sites may require MSHA and HAZWOPER certification.
• Microsoft Office (Office, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe job performance and identify site hazards to ensure OSHA and other regulatory compliance.
• Identify conditions that could cause accidents and communicate with management.
• Conduct post-accident investigations and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Assist operation management with accident documentation and reporting.
• Plan, implement and coordinate safety programs to reduce injuries and losses.
• Visit each work site weekly to conduct audits and address hazards.
