Job summary

Independence Excavating, Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee project safety for heavy civil construction.

The role will enforce safety policies, coordinate with the Regional Safety Manager or Safety Director, and travel up to 75% locally with 25% regional work. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Safety Management or equivalent, 2–5 years of site safety experience, OSHA 30, and First Aid/CPR certification; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Safety Management or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of safety experience in heavy civil construction.
• OSHA 30 required; First Aid/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project safety for heavy civil construction sites.
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate training and audits with Regional Safety Manager or Safety Director.
• Conduct inspections and incident investigations; report findings and corrective actions.
