Job summary

CleanSpace is seeking an on-site Safety Manager to promote and maintain a safe working environment across construction projects in the Greater Mesa, AZ area. You will develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, policies, and procedures on active sites, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors to prevent injuries and ensure OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Construction Management or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction safety or a related field.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required or ability to obtain.
• CHST, CSP or similar safety certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and applicable regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain construction site safety plans, policies, and programs.
• Conduct routine job site inspections and safety audits for hazards and regulatory compliance.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation including incident reports, inspection records, and training logs.
• Monitor PPE usage and enforce safety procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and field personnel to address safety concerns.
• Train and mentor employees and supervisors on safety practices and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes to OSHA standards and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Assist in developing emergency response plans and drills.
