Job summary

Bond Civil & Utility Construction Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the project safety program across assigned teams and to oversee, plan and ensure safety compliance of the construction project.

The Safety Manager will develop service plans for each project, ensure risk assessments are complete, and collaborate with the Safety Director on Health and Safety Plans and Emergency Procedures. You’ll attend kickoff meetings, review subcontractor safety materials, establish relationships with

Qualifications

• BS in Occupational Safety or related discipline; construction industry experience preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain positive working relationships.
• Extensive knowledge of owner contracts, drawings, subcontractor agreements, scope and risk management.
• Thorough understanding of construction processes and best practices.
• Competent public speaker and safety trainer; able to multitask in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Bond Safety Plan at the project level.
• Ensure health and safety plans are implemented and track safety compliance.
• Liaise with external agents and inspectors related to safety and health.
• Collaborate with Project Management on safe work planning and issue summaries.
• Manage subcontractor safety issues and enforce safety rules.
• Meet and enforce all safety regulations.
• Provide input on pre-task planning and scheduling.
• Mentor subordinates and promote Bond values.
• Produce regular safety inspections within highwire.
• Conduct accident investigations and follow up with Safety Support Services.
