Construction Safety Manager/ Commercial Projects - Livonia, MI

Salary Range: $65K - $95K Permanent Position with Benefits

A Growing City, State, area Construction Firm seeks a Construction Safety Manager who has the experience to ensure that all team members follow established safety procedures. The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for creating safety training programs, conducting safety meetings, audits, and managing comprehensive environmental safety & health programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field.
2. IH certification preferred, Professional BSCP Certifications: CSP and/or ASP with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in construction and/or construction safety management.
3. Preferred Candidate would be Certified in Risk Management and health/safety management.
4. Candidate should be knowledgeable with Local, State and Federal Safety Standards to include OSHA.
5. Candidate is responsible for conducting safety meetings, performing audits and on-site inspections to ensure compliance, identify issues, implement corrective actions, follow-up assessments and maintain documentation.
6. Candidate will plan, implement and manage comprehensive environmental safety & health programs including preventative care, safety and compliance training programs.
7. Candidate will work with management to develop Emergency Action Plans and serve as the primary contact for project site injury, incident notification, investigation and case management.
8. Candidate will maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, accident reports, and correspondence with upper-management and all concerned parties.
9. Candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office & Outlook.
10. Experience with Procore and Power BI is highly desired.
11. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
