Wheeler Services, Inc. in the Southeast seeks a Bilingual Safety Manager to oversee site safety programs across concrete construction projects.

You will ensure OSHA compliance, conduct trainings in English and Spanish, and serve as the primary safety liaison for diverse crews. This role requires a strong safety background and willingness to travel to multiple sites to foster a safe, productive environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.
• OSHA 30 Construction Safety certification.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Construction or related field; PMP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety protocols and procedures on construction sites.
• Ensure OSHA and company safety standards compliance.
• Conduct safety training sessions and inspections.
• Serve as primary safety liaison between English- and Spanish-speaking employees.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with OSHA.

• Leadandconductsafetytrainingsessionsforallemployees,includingtoolboxtalks,safetyorientations,andspecializedsafetyprograms.
• ServeastheprimarysafetyliaisonbetweenEnglish-speakingandSpanish-speakingteamstoensureeffectivecommunicationandunderstandingofsafetyprotocols.
• Investigateanddocumentaccidents,incidents,andnearmisses,ensuringthoroughrootcauseanalysisandcorrectiveactionsareimplemented.
• Maintainsafetyrecords,documentation,andreportingincompliancewithOSHAstandardsandcompanypolicies.
• Assistinthedevelopmentandreviewofjobhazardanalyses(JHAs)andsite-specificsafetyplans.
• Collaboratewithprojectmanagementteamstointegratesafetyintodailyoperationsandprojectplanning.
• Stayupdatedwithlocal,state,andfederalregulationsandindustrybestpracticestoensurecompanycompliance.

WhatdoyouneedtosucceedinthisRole?

• BachelorofSciencedegree(B.S.)inCivilEngineering/Constructionfromfour-yearcollegeoruniversity./PMPcertificationisaplus.
• OSHA30CertificationinConstructionSafety.
• OSHA500Certification.OutreachTrainerfortheConstructionIndustry(Preferred).
• ProficiencyinbothEnglishandSpanish(writtenandverbal).
• 3+yearsofexperienceinconstructionsafetymanagement,ideallywithincommercialconcreteorasimilarindustry.
• Abilitytotraveltomultiplejobsitesasrequiredandworkflexiblehoursasnecessary.
• Validdriver’slicense.
• StrongknowledgeofOSHAstandards,regulations,andrequirementsfortheconstructionindustry.
• AbilitytoconductsafetytraininginbothEnglishandSpanish.
• Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills,withtheabilitytoeffectivelyinteractwithdiverseteams.
