ElectriCom, a utility construction company founded in 1960, seeks a Safety Specialist for a remote/hybrid role with a local Florence, Texas presence. The role supports and coordinates safety programs with the Senior Safety & Risk Manager and company leadership to develop and enforce safety policies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Bachelor’s level education in safety or construction-related field is required.
• Experience leading safety programs in construction environments is required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish for training and incident investigations is required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and applicable safety regulations for the utility construction industry.
• Conduct jobsite safety observations and audits to identify hazards and enforce controls.
• Develop and deliver OSHA-required safety training programs.
• Lead incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety observations and trends with operations leadership to improve safety culture.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

• Maintaincomprehensive,up-to-dateknowledgeofOSHA,DOT,andotherapplicablefederal,state,andlocalregulationsgoverningsafetyandhealthwithintheutilityconstructionindustry.
• Performthoroughandtimelyjobsitesafetyobservationsandaudits,ensuringidentifiedhazardsandsafetyconcernsareappropriatelyaddressedandresolved.
• ConductandfacilitateemployeesafetytrainingonOSHA-requiredtopicsandothercompanysafetyinitiatives.
• PartnerwiththeSeniorSafety&RiskManagertoconductincidentandinjuryinvestigations,identifyrootcauses,andeffectivelycommunicatefindingsandcorrectiveactions.
• Coordinateandcommunicateeffectivelywithoperationalleadershipregardingsafetyobservations,trends,concerns,incidents,andcorrectiveactions.
• CollaborateregularlywiththeSeniorSafety&RiskManager,operationalleadership,andemployeestosupporttheElectriComsafetyprogramandpromoteapositive,proactivesafetyculture.
