Job summary

Rex Moore Electrical & Systems Contractors & Engineers is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist I to promote a safe and healthy work environment across construction projects nationwide. You will work with journeymen, technicians, and site leaders to integrate safety requirements into work plans and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key duties include on-site safety assessments, policy development, incident investigations, safety training, and comprehensive reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time safety experience in a construction setting.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
• Certified safety professional credentials (CSP/ASP/CHST) with 5+ years of construction safety management experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations as applied to construction and general industry.
• First Aid, CPR & AED certifications required; ability to lead in emergencies.
• Competent Person: Electrical safety NFPA 70E, Excavation, Fall protection and Confined space.
• Willing to travel and work split shifts, overtime, weekends.
• Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety assessments and inspections on projects under construction to ensure compliance with safety/health requirements.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate injuries and health problems.
• Assist with Method of Procedure development and critical activity plans.
• Investigate injuries and incidents and prepare written root-cause reports.
• Deliver safety training for supervisors and field employees.
• Provide written reports documenting site visits and incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
