Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) seeks an experienced Construction Safety Specialist for a long-term project in Oceanport, NJ. You will provide daily EHS oversight, lead safety inspections, review plans, and coach trades on OSHA compliance in a fast-paced construction environment.

The role requires 3+ years of construction safety experience, strong MEP safety knowledge, and current OSHA 30-Hour and First Aid/CPR/AED. Local candidates or relocation applicants encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Strong MEP construction safety experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily construction safety / EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observations.
• Review JHAs/JSAs, Pre-Task Plans, permits, toolbox talks, and safety documentation.
• Coach trades and contractors on OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
• Monitor MEP, electrical safety, NFPA 70E, LOTO, fall protection, scaffolding, etc.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and track corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, client requirements, and site safety programs.
