Job summary

MEC Industrial District is seeking an Entry Level Safety Manager to uphold our core safety commitment. You will develop, implement, and audit site safety programs, conduct training, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies on a construction project.

Based in Point Pleasant, WV or the New York area, you will oversee safety management and field operations, lead investigations, track KPIs, report to project leadership, and coordinate with regulatory authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of construction safety management experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety, OSHA standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Independent and team-oriented worker with access to site areas.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, and communicate the Site-Specific Safety Plan to project personnel.
• Ensure safety protocols align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate daily with craft workers to promote safety program ownership.
• Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and accidents.
• Establish KPIs and perform safety audits and timely reporting.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
• Provide safety training and facilitate ongoing safety communication.
