Job summary

The State Group is seeking a Safety Supervisor based in Buffalo, New York. Join a fast-paced team delivering multi-trade industrial contracting services with a strong safety culture.

You will lead safety on job sites, coordinate inspections, and drive incident investigations while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards. The role requires independent work, strong communication, and a commitment to safeguarding workers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years safety experience in construction or related industries.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Card.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and other key safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set the standard for safe behaviors and compliance; influence others on sites.
• Provide SME safety support to stakeholders on jobsites including customers and contractors.
• Coordinate inspections and incident investigations with Risk Manager; track corrective actions.
• Maintain audits, inspections, and action items with timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO and internal safety requirements; lead urgent safety responses.
• Escalate non-compliant issues to leadership promptly.
• Counsel or tag out equipment to stop unsafe conditions.
