Job summary

RJM Construction is seeking a Safety Engineer to join our growing Safety team at the Corporate Headquarters in Golden Valley, MN. In this on-site role you will assist the safety leader with audits, training, and the development of site-specific safety programs across multiple projects, while supporting project teams with data tracking and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, or Construction Management (or equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, or Construction Management or equivalent construction experience.
• 0–1 years of construction experience (3+ yrs experience required in lieu of a degree).
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with Projects; Camtasia or similar video editing software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite walk-through audits with the project team to identify hazards.
• Develop and enhance the safety program, policies and procedures; work with departments to reduce risk.
• Provide safety support to project teams, including attending pre-construction planning meetings and training on safety procedures.
