Job summary

Clune Construction Company in Vienna, VA seeks a Safety Coordinator to work with the Regional Safety Manager in enforcing safety and environmental procedures on jobsites. The core duties include safety audits and driving improvements to site safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, OSHA 30 hour certification preferred, and First Aid/CPR/AED. Strong communication, planning and record-keeping are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field or equivalent related education/experience.
• Construction – OSHA 30 hour certification preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as an internal consultant to company units regarding safety.
• Ensure employee, trade partner, visitor and vendor compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Provide safety guidance in project planning stages.
• Attend and contribute to safety meetings and training.
• Support incident investigations and risk management activities.
