Job summary

Clune Construction seeks a Safety Coordinator to work with the Regional Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures on jobsites operating from our New York office.

The role includes conducting safety audits, evaluating improvements, and assisting with incident investigations, while coordinating with Risk Management to mitigate claims and keep safety a priority on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and health or related field; or equivalent combination of 1-3 years education and experience.
• Construction – OSHA 30 hour certification, preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as an internal consultant to all company business units with respect to safety.
• Ensure Clune employee, trade partner, visitor and vendor compliance with Clune safety guidelines, project requirements, local, state, and national safety regulations.
• Provide safety guidance in the planning stages for projects.
• Attend and contribute to company and project safety meetings.
• Attend outside training for added designations and to keep up with changes in the industry.
• Role model professionally for Clune employees, trade partners, visitors and vendors.
