Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Albany seeks an Entry Level Project Safety Assistant to support enforcement of safety policies and risk management on construction projects. The role assists with safety training, program implementation, and review of subcontractor safety plans and training per OSHA standards.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering or related field with at least 1 year of safety experience, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field and minimum 1 year of construction safety experience.
• Familiar with Federal, State and local EH&S regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with enforcement of EH&S policies on construction projects.
• Assist with safety training and program implementation.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with regulations and owner requirements.
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings and worker orientation sessions.
• Maintain safety records and incident metrics.
• Prepare Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Conduct safety meetings and site safety audits to identify corrective actions.
