Turner Construction Company is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Associate to assist with enforcing safety policies, training, and risk management on a Albany, NY construction project. This role supports compliance with regulations and owner requirements, coordinates safety programs, and helps maintain safety records.

The position offers a salaried non-exempt schedule, with travel up to 20% and a salary range of $66,000-$72,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field; 1 year construction safety exp. preferred
• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
• Familiar with applicable safety regulations at federal, state, and local levels

Responsibilities

• Assist with training for safe work practices and EH&S programs on construction projects.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain safety records and assist with site safety audits and inspections.
• Promote safe work practices and coordinate drug screening per project requirements.
• Support preconstruction meetings and worker orientation programs.
