Job summary

BSI Consulting Services is seeking an Associate Safety Consultant (OH) to join our Plain City team. You will work with a high-performing group of Construction EHS professionals, promoting safe daily work practices and leading collaborative efforts to strengthen safety programs.

Responsibilities include audits, data collection, reporting, and coaching craft workers on OSHA and client requirements, with opportunities to deliver training and lead client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience (7 years if no degree).
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to apply regulations in dynamic construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to large-scale construction projects by initiating and attending meetings and performing site walks.
• Conduct construction safety field audits and data collection using system platforms.
• Analyze worker health and safety data for trends.
• Educate stakeholder groups on EHS requirements and best practices.
• Collect data, create reports, and communicate trends from field inspections.
• Observe onsite practices and develop solutions to improve health and wellness.
• Coach workers on OSHA/Client requirements and expectations.
• Lead incident investigations to drive improvement and safe work practices.
• Develop training programs and slide decks for construction EHS topics.
• Lead meetings as the EHS representative and collaborate with the team.
