Job summary

BSI is seeking an Associate Safety Consultant to support large-scale construction projects in Hamlet, NC. You will lead EHS activities, perform site walks, audits, and data analysis, and coach workers on OSHA and client requirements to improve safety performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and at least 5 years of construction safety experience, with opportunities for training and professional growth in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; environmental/OSH/engineering fields strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience; 7 years if no degree.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to interpret/apply regulations in construction environments.
• Solutions-oriented with ability to assess risks and implement corrective actions with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to professional growth through certifications or formal training in construction safety, risk management, or environmental compliance.
• Willingness to pursue advanced safety certifications (STSC, CHST, CSP).

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings, perform site walks, and ensure contract requirements are in place.
• Conduct construction safety field audits and data collection using various platforms.
• Analyze health and safety data for trends and inform stakeholders.
• Educate stakeholders on EHS requirements and best practices.
• Lead incident investigations to drive future improvements and safe practices.
• Lead and deliver training programs and slide decks for construction EHS topics.
• Coach craft workers on OSHA/client requirements and expectations.
