Job summary

HazTek Safety Management seeks a Safety Consultant/Auditor to support clients in the South Boston area and greater Boston region. The role focuses on applying safety best practices, ensuring compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture on construction projects.

As a consultant, you will travel to sites, review activities, and provide guidance to project supervisors, with a 40–50 hour work week and occasional after-hours travel. We value experience and credentials in safety.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Some Construction Experience
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Safety or BCSP credential with 3–5 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Travel to construction projects in the Greater Boston/Eastern Massachusetts area and review current construction activity.
• Provide guidance to project supervisors to ensure safety best practices and compliance.
• Support client needs by enforcing safety programs and identifying non-compliant observations.
• Effectively communicate observations to client employees and supervisors, including unsafe acts.
• Self-organize all scheduled and unscheduled work assignments, including travel, into a 40- to 50-hour work week.
