Job summary

HazTek Safety Management in Uxbridge, MA seeks a Construction Safety Manager to lead full-time safety for a distribution center project. You will enforce OSHA rules, inspect sites, and coordinate with subcontractors to control risks and ensure safe operations.

Ideal candidates hold OSHA 500, OSHA 30, and a Bachelor's in Environmental Health and Safety with 6+ years in construction safety management, plus CSP/CIH/ASP/CHST credentials. Willingness for overtime and weekend coverage is expected.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• OSHA 500 authorization + 6+ years in construction safety management.
• Bachelor’s in Environmental Health and Safety.
• CSP/CIH/ASP/CHST credential with 5+ years in safety mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the site safety program for the project.
• Conduct daily site inspections and address hazards promptly.
• Review JHAs and PTPs to ensure proper controls.
• Oversee high-risk activities: fall protection, electrical, LOTO, excavation, crane ops.
• Lead toolbox talks and contractor safety meetings.
• Support incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Verify training, orientations, and PPE compliance.
• Coordinate with project teams to plan work and resolve safety concerns.
• Maintain safety records and incident metrics.
