Zusammenfassung

Securus Safety Solutions LLC seeks a dedicated Safety Lead to head on-site safety for a Texas construction project.

You will drive proactive risk management, conduct field inspections, and enforce PSMP, JHAs, and safety documentation. The role demands 5+ years in construction safety, OSHA certifications, and CPR/First Aid. This is a full-time position with OT and per diem options.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of building construction safety experience.
• 4-year degree in construction safety with at least 1 year field experience.
• OSHA 510, OSHA 500, or OSHA 502 certifications current within 5 years.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications current.

Aufgaben

• Support implementation of the Project Safety Management Plan.
• Conduct daily field inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Support safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings.
• Review JHAs, permits, and subcontractor safety documentation.
• Monitor high-risk activities (excavation, confined space, crane operations, electrical work, fall protection).
• Maintain safety documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with project leadership, subcontractors, and owner representatives to reinforce site safety expectations.
• Assist with enforcement of project safety requirements and corrective actions in the field.
• Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions arise.

This role is responsible for leading all on-site safety efforts, driving proactive risk management, and ensuring full compliance with OSHA construction standards and project-specific safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Support implementation and enforcement of the Project Safety Management Plan (PSMP)
• Conduct daily field inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Support project safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and subcontractor safety documentation
• Monitor high-risk activities including excavation, confined space entry, crane operations, electrical work, and fall protection
• Maintain project safety documentation, records, and reporting requirements
• Work closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and owner representatives to reinforce site safety expectations
• Assist with enforcement of project safety requirements and corrective actions in the field
• Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 consecutive years dedicated solely to building construction safety experience required
• Candidates with a 4-year degree in a construction safety discipline must possess at least 1 year of actual field experience in building construction safety
• CSP, CHST, or other nationally recognized safety certifications may be considered toward experience requirements
• OSHA 510, OSHA 500, or OSHA 502 certification required and must be current within 5 years
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required

Candidates must demonstrate practical knowledge, field experience, and documented continuing education in:

• Fall protection
• Scaffolds (supported and suspended)
• Excavation and trenching
• Confined space (permit and non-permit)
• Crane operations and basic rigging
• Electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
• Incident investigation
• Industrial hygiene for construction
• Fire protection and prevention
• Respiratory protection
