Remote Estimator – Multi-Family Renovations (Bay Area Candidates Only)

Are you an experienced construction professional with a strong background in estimating and renovations? We seek a detail-oriented Estimator to assess and plan renovation projects for multi-family properties. This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in the Bay Area for job walks and site visits. Your Role & Responsibilities

• Evaluate multi-family properties for construction deficiencies and recommend necessary improvements to meet code compliance.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for property repairs and renovations.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure accurate estimates and bid packages.
• Conduct site inspections with clients, sales representatives, and insurance adjusters as needed.
• Utilize Xactimate to prepare timely and precise repair estimates.
• Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters and negotiate settlements.
• Support operations and office staff with proper documentation throughout the bidding process.
• Offer insights on material and labor cost estimating.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to address construction challenges and develop effective solutions.

What You Need to Succeed

• Construction estimating experience is required (multi-family renovation experience is preferred).
• Must reside in the Bay Area and be willing to conduct local site visits as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction-related certifications are a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret multi-family construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NAV, ProCore, or Sage is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of integrity.
