Qualifications

• Education: High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Experience for Construction Recordkeeper I: No experience required; II: 1 year record-keeping; III: 4 years. Substitutions may apply.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle.
• Higher mathematics is noted in the qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes; monitors records for compliance with state/federal laws and payments due to contractor.
• Coordinates with construction inspectors and contractor staff to ensure records reflect changes and agreements.
• Attends pre-construction meetings to instruct contractor's bookkeeper on record-keeping procedures.
• Prepares monthly and final estimates; checks calculations against work log and estimate form to verify payment.
• Maintains filing structure for each construction project within assigned area.
