Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project quality program, keep the ITP current, and witness needed tests. You will write daily QC reports and lead nonconformance investigations with the site team.

You’ll review specifications, coordinate with field and lab staff, and advance from inspector to manager through sponsored training and certification, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily quality control report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
