Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Texas seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program for a single project under a senior QM. You will maintain the inspection and test plan, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report while tracking nonconformances to closure.

Travel may be required as projects vary. This is the entry point into management for a field inspector ready to own the program, with sponsorship of USACE CQM-C or ICC/NICET certifications as

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC.
• One of: ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Ability to read specifications/drawings and translate to test schedules.
• Direct, organized, and able to communicate test failures to superiors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project ITP and testing frequency log against specs.
• Schedule and witness field and lab tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with superintendent and engineer.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
