Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will keep the inspection and test plan current, schedule and witness tests, and open and track nonconformances until they close.

This is the first management seat for a field inspector moving toward broader ownership. You’ll sponsor training and progress toward Quality Manager II, with travel as needed and close collaboration with

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records (preparatory, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
