Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will maintain the project inspection and test plan, schedule and witness tests, write the daily QC report, and track nonconformances until closure.

This is the first management seat for a field inspector or technician aiming to own the program and progress to Quality Manager II. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to tell a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase (preparatory, initial, follow-up) meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record; keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
