Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project quality program, keep the inspection and test plan current, and witness field and laboratory tests.

You will write the daily QC report, open and track nonconformances with the superintendent and engineer of record, and ensure audit-ready submittals, mix designs, and material certifications. This role advances to Quality Manager II on larger programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Hold at least one: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC Special Inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the ITP and testing frequency log against specs.
• Schedule and witness field and lab tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily QC report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and the engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
