Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Quality Manager to lead quality assurance on commercial projects. The role requires 5 to 20+ years in construction, with hands-on oversight of project teams and experience implementing the QMP on multiple sites.

You will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and engineers to ensure contract compliance and client satisfaction while traveling as needed to project locations.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• QMS/RMS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of quality processes, plans, and integration with project activities.
• Ability to set goals, metrics, and drive team collaboration.
• Proven teaching, training and facilitation skills.
• Proactive, self-driven, and value-focused professional.
• Strong communication and risk management skills.
• Familiarity with common QA software tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute project-specific QMPs with project teams.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
• Review documents for constructability and accuracy.
• Lead inspections planning and coordination across teams.
• Participate in quality-related meetings and drive corrective actions.
• Interface with architects, engineers, and owners to meet quality expectations.
• Assess quality health of projects and recommend improvements.
