Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the QC program on a single project, updating the ITP, scheduling and witnessing tests, and drafting the daily QC report. The role is the first management seat for a field inspector or technician who wants to own the program.

The position involves opening and tracking NCRs, ensuring certifications are current, and keeping submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready as you advance under a senior

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC.
• Must hold at least one of: ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and translate into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized communication with superintendents when tests fail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project ITP and the testing frequency log against specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close NCRs with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
