Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, write daily QC reports, and open and track nonconformances through resolution.

This is the first management seat for a field inspector or technician who understands failing tests and wants to lead the program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC
• Able to read specifications and drawings and convert them into a test schedule
• Direct, organized, and able to push back when a test fails
• Sponsor CQM-C or equivalent certifications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and the engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
