Job summary

Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC seeks a Resident Inspector to join our team. The role emphasizes quality control, materials testing, documentation, and verification of construction activities against plans and specifications.

You will observe contractors, ensure safety, track progress with logs and reports, and communicate findings to project leadership. A high school diploma and 5–7 years of heavy civil experience are required, with licenses or certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; relevant work experience may substitute.
• Valid driver’s license; LADOTD, ACI certifications are a plus.
• 5–7 years of experience in Heavy Civil (Roads, Bridges, Utilities, infrastructure) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, or measure materials, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
• Review and interpret plans, testing plans, site layouts, specifications, or construction methods for contract compliance.
• Notify supervisors or other personnel of problems on the project.
• Develop, maintain, and daily report logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results.
