Job summary

A Construction Quality Manager II runs the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects — heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements — with field inspectors reporting to you. You write the project quality control plan and lead the three-phase control meetings, owning accountability for every test result and nonconformance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE/NAVFAC/DOT or industrial owner program experience.
• Clear written communication under challenging meetings.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action process and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
