Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a qualified Quality Manager II to run the project quality control program for large or multi-phase projects with field inspectors reporting to you. You will draft the QC plan, chair three-phase meetings, and stand with the owner's QA representative to address every test result and nonconformance.

You lead QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate testing and certifications, and ensure programs meet USACE and NAVFAC standards on complex projects that

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• assign daily coverage and review their reports;
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
