Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will maintain the inspection and test plan, schedule and witness tests, and produce the daily QC report.

You will open and track nonconformances until closure and ensure files are audit-ready. This role is a development step from field inspector or technician who understands failing tests and wants to own the program.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and capable of informing a superintendent when a lift does not pass.
• Experience in construction materials testing or QC for contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and witness field and laboratory tests per ITP and testing schedule.
• Verify certifications of technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records (prep, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
