Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior manager. You will maintain the inspection and test plan, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report.

You’ll open and track nonconformances, keep submittal and material certification files audit-ready, and coordinate with superintendents and engineers. This entry-level management path leads to larger programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Hold one of ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC Special Inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to tell a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log against specs.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily QC report and the three-phase meeting records (preparatory, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
