Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC seeks an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to join our Field Operations in Elizabeth City, NC. Local candidates are preferred; out-of-area candidates may be considered with travel or relocation support.

CQCMs with airfield/runway experience are preferred. The CQCM will prepare, manage, and enforce a project-specific Quality Control Plan, ensure documentation accuracy and timeliness, and collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain client

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of combined experience in commercial construction roles (superintendent, QC manager, PM, or PE).
• At least 2 years of experience specifically as a Quality Control Manager.
• USACE CQM for Contractors certification required; RMS/QCS familiarity preferred (training available).
• Airfield or runway project experience preferred.
• Additional inspection certifications or trade licenses highly valued.
• LEED AP, AP+ or Green Associate credentials are a plus.
• Required certifications include EM 385-1-1 Level 1, CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30 (training available).
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, email and internet applications.
• Experience with Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established quality standards and maintain documentation accuracy and timeliness.

Job description

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to join our Field Operations team in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Local candidates are preferred, though out of area candidates will be considered. Travel or relocation compensation may be available for qualified out-of-area candidates. CQCM's with experience on airfield or runway construction projects are preferred.

The CQCM is responsible for preparing, managing, and enforcing a project-specific Quality Control Plan in accordance with all contract requirements. This position ensures compliance with established quality standards, oversees documentation accuracy and timeliness, and works closely with project stakeholders to maintain strong client relationships and overall project satisfaction. All duties are performed in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $100,000 - $135,000 annually

Minimum Qualifications
