Job summary

SOCOTEC US is a provider of niche consulting services within architecture, engineering and construction, focusing on high-performance buildings and specialty structures. This role supports material testing and inspection activities in Washington state.

As a candidate, you will review drawings, report findings, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with contract documents and applicable codes. No prior construction experience is required, with opportunities for certification growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• No previous experience in the construction industry is required.
• Preference for ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, WAQTC certifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Energetic, detail-oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Material testing ( Certifications required ).
• Review approved construction drawings and specifications.
• Communicate with contractor workers, foremen, superintendents, project managers, building inspectors and report findings.
• Write concise inspection reports using contract documents, approved drawings and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with AAR office to report inspection observations, scheduling and sample pick up.
• Inspect and verify materials for compliance to plans and specs.
• Accurately complete quality records relating to material testing.
• Review contract documents and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Possess ability to obtain additional certifications to perform in-field material testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Description

• Material Testing (Certifications Required)
• Review approved construction drawings and specifications

Additional Information

Salary Range

$22-34/hour, depending on qualifications
