Construction Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview

This position will serve as a construction quality assurance (QA) representative responsible for assisting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the execution of construction along the borders of the United States. The QA representative shall have experience in construction oversight, project control, and closure. A background in construction management is required. Strong communication skills, innovative solutions, and creative problem-solving abilities are essential.

Note: This is a full-time, temporary position lasting 18-24 months only.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain surveillance over field engineering activities during major military construction projects.
  • Provide expertise on safety and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Review contractor schedules for logic and adequacy to meet deadlines.
  • Review payment estimates, progress data, and material reports.
  • Prepare daily activity reports, including instructions, quantities, weather, progress, delays, and issues.
  • Guide safety and quality assurance efforts across all personnel and sections.
  • Ensure environmental Best Management Practices are followed.
  • Support outreach and construction oversight efforts as directed.
  • Analyze problems, interpret plans and specifications, and monitor work layout and progress.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience, including 3 years of specialized construction oversight, compliance, and safety enforcement.
  • Experience in construction management or infrastructure maintenance/repair.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to pass a government background check, with active U.S. CBP background investigation preferred. U.S. citizenship required.
